док.сокр. UNCLOS межд. эк. Конвенция ООН по морскому праву (разработана 3-й Конференцией ООН по морскому праву в 1982 г.; вступила в силу в 1994 г.; представляет собой комплекс взаимоприемлемых компромиссных договоренностей по основным проблемам использования Мирового океана; определяет, в частности, внешние границы и режим территориальных вод и континентального шельфа, устанавливает право беспрепятственного прохода судов через проливы, используемые для международного судоходства, предусматривает режим и порядок мореплавания в архипелажных водах; содержит определение и устанавливает режим 200-мильной экономической зоны; устанавливает режим международного района морского дна; предусматривает создание международной организации нового типа с широкими политическими и хозяйственными полномочиями в области освоения ресурсов морского дна, объявленных Генеральной Ассамблеей ООН общим наследием человечества; предусматривает систему мирного урегулирования споров, касающихся ее толкования и применения, и, в частности, создание Международного трибунала по морскому праву; содержит также и другие положения, относящиеся к различным институтам современного международного морского права; США отказались от подписания конвенции, заявив, что будут действовать на морях на основе своего национального законодательства и сепаратных договоренностей с другими государствами)Syn:See:Англо-русский экономический словарь > United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea
